On June 20, 2025, at approximately 6:15 pm, officers responded to a collision involving two vehicles in the 8400 block of Allentown Road. Moore was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in her vehicle and the driver of the second vehicle were taken to a hospital with injuries considered non-life-threatening.

 

The preliminary investigation indicates Moore was traveling southbound on Allentown Road when, for reasons currently under investigation, her vehicle crossed the double yellow lines and collided head-on with a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.

PGPD Investigating Fatal Shooting

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Thursday night. The victim is 36-year-old Michael Jordan Thompson of Dundalk.
 
On June 19, 2025, at approximately 9:00 pm, officers responded to a shooting near a closed business in the 12000 block of Laurel Bowie Road in the unincorporated section of Laurel. Officers located Thompson outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead a short time later at a hospital. A second man was also shot and was dropped off at a hospital. He is in critical but stable condition.
 
Detectives are working to determine the circumstances of this incident to include a motive.

On June 7, 2025, at approximately 4:40 am, officers responded to the 400 block of Warfield Drive for the report of an unresponsive man. Officers located the victim outside in a parking garage suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Through various investigative techniques, detectives identified Jefferson as the suspect. The preliminary investigation revealed he shot the victim during an argument. They were known to each other.

Jefferson is charged with first and second degree murder and related charges. He is currently in custody in Fairfax County pending extradition to Prince George’s County.

On May 19, 2025, at approximately 12:20 am, officers responded to a shooting in the 2800 block of Wood Hollow Terrace. Officers located the victim outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Through various investigative techniques, detectives identified Clauzel as the suspect. The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect and victim were known to each other and were involved in an ongoing dispute.

Clauzel is charged with first-degree murder and related charges. He is in custody in Broward County, Florida, on unrelated charges pending extradition to Prince George’s County.

On June 10, 2023, at approximately 2:50 am, officers responded to the 8100 block of 14th Avenue for the report of a shooting. Once on scene, officers located the victim inside of an apartment building suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene. A second adult male was also shot and survived his injuries.
 
In August of 2024, the PGPD’s Gun Crimes Unit arrested Lopez-Garcia in connection with an unrelated, non-fatal shooting. Following that arrest, detectives obtained a warrant to search the suspect’s home. During that search, two guns were located. One of those guns was linked to the murder of Rosales. After further investigation, on June 5, 2025, Homicide Unit detectives charged Lopez-Garcia with the 2023 murder.
 
The preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect shot the victim after a dispute. They were not known to each other.
 
Lopez-Garcia is charged with first and second-degree murder and related charges. He is in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
