Up first this Wanted Wednesday – a robbery in Oxon Hill. Do these suspects look familiar? The male suspect is wearing a very distinctive jacket. The suspects are wanted in connection with an armed robbery that took place at an electronics store in the 4900 block of Indian Head Highway on December 28, 2020, around 6:00 pm. Attempted Armed Robbery Suspect


Detectives are actively working to locate and arrest this suspect. He’s 18-year-old Demario Thornton – whose last known address is on New York Avenue in DC. The preliminary investigation revealed that on November 14, 2020, he attempted to rob a victim at gunpoint in the 3100 block of Donnell Drive in Forestville. Do you know Demario or his whereabouts? Armed Robbery Investigation



A robbery in Landover is also under investigation. Detectives would like to speak to these two suspects in connection with the crime that took place on December 28, 2020, in the 7500 block of Landover Road. Convenience Store Armed Robbery 

We are also asking for assistance in identifying this robbery suspect who targeted a convenience store in the 3300 block of Branch Avenue on December 28, 2020, around 10:00 pm. Theft Suspect 



Can you identify this man? If so, you may qualify for a cash reward! We’d like to talk to him in connection with a recent convenience store theft. Detectives believe this suspect committed a theft on December 25, 2020, in the 7500 block of Landover Road. Detectives Investigating Fatal Shooting in Upper Marlboro

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively working to identify and arrest the suspect(s) who shot and killed a man Monday in Upper Marlboro. The victim is 31-year-old Awa Ebi of Upper Marlboro.

On December 28, 2020, at approximately 11:40 am, officers responded to the 7900 block of Trumps Hill Road for the report of a shooting. The victim was located in the roadway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are working to identify the suspect(s) and determine a motive in this case.

Shooting Victim in Lanham Dies of Injuries

Homicide Unit detectives are now leading the investigation into a fatal shooting in Lanham. The victim is 28-year-old Isaiah Stanley of Landover. 

On December 26, 2020, at approximately 12:30 am, patrol officers responded to the 7500 block of Finns Lane for a shooting. The victim was located outside suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a hospital for emergency treatment and died a day later. 

Detectives are working to establish motive and identify suspect(s).

Victim in Weekend Fatal Shooting Identified

Detectives with the Homicide Unit are working to identify and arrest the suspect(s) who shot and killed a man Saturday night in the Chillum area. The victim is 34-year-old Anthoneil Hunter of Temple Hills.

On December 26, 2020, at approximately 11:00 pm, patrol officers responded to the 6800 block of Red Top Road for a shooting. Officers located the victim inside of an apartment suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.


Detectives are working to establish a motive in this case. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment.

One Suspect in Custody; Detectives Release Photo of Second Suspect Wanted in October Homicide

Wanted: Dayvon Gordon                                     In Custody: Tahj Vandy 

The Homicide Unit arrested one suspect and is asking for the community’s assistance in locating the second suspect wanted in an October murder in Landover. Eighteen-year-old Tahj Vandy, of the 6400 block of Landing Way in Landover, is in custody for the murder of 22-year-old Andre Lamont Cox Jr., of no fixed address. We are now asking for information on the whereabouts of 28-year-old Dayvon Gordon of the 700 block of Barnaby Street in Southeast, Washington D.C.

On October 27, 2020, at approximately 6:30 pm, patrol officers responded to the 3200 block of 75th Avenue for a shooting. The victim was located outside suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a hospital where he died a short time later.

The suspects and victim were known to each other. Detectives believe the suspects shot the victim over a dispute. Both Vandy and Gordon are charged with first and second degree murder. A commissioner ordered Vandy held on a no-bond status at the Department of Corrections.

El joven de 18 años de edad y vecino de la cuadra 6400 de Landing Way en Landover, Tahj Vandy, ya se encuentra bajo custodia por el asesinato de Andre Lamont Cox Jr., de 22 años de edad y sin domicilio fijo. Detectives are working to arrest these suspects who are linked to multiple thefts. On December 20, 2020, the suspects stole lottery tickets from a convenience store in the 9100 block of Annapolis Road in Lanham.

In the above pictures taken on December 21, 2020, the suspects targeted a convenience store in the 3000 block of Forestville Road in District Heights. The suspects stole cigarettes and lottery tickets.

Our detectives are working to identify the pictured individual wanted in connection with a theft from auto that occurred in the 7900 block of Malcolm Road in Clinton on December 18, 2020. Detectives Arrest and Charge Suspect in Fatal Shooting in Landover

Robert Hill

The Prince George’s County Police Department arrested and charged a suspect with a fatal shooting in Landover on Friday evening. The suspect is 31-year-old Robert Hill of the 7700 block of Willow Hill Drive in Landover. He’s charged with fatally shooting 63-year-old Clifford Ellis of Landover.

 

On December 18, 2020, at approximately 5:40 pm, patrol officers responded to the 500 block of Pacer Drive for the report of a shooting. Officers located the victim in his driveway suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

 

The preliminary investigation revealed Hill shot the victim and then stole the victim’s pickup truck. In the minutes following this murder, the suspect also attempted to steal several other vehicles, broke into a home, and attempted to break into a second home. No one else was hurt in any of those incidents. Patrol officers located and arrested Hill at approximately 6:30 pm on Friday in the 1000 block of Glacier Avenue in the Capitol Heights area.  

 

Hill is charged with dozens of crimes to include first and second degree murder, robbery, and additional charges. A court commissioner ordered him held without bond at the Department of Corrections.

Detectives Arrestan y Acusan a Sospechoso por Mortal Tiroteo en Landover

El Departamento de la Policía del Condado de Prince George’s arrestó y sometió cargos contra un sospechoso por un mortal tiroteo ocurrido en Landover el viernes en la tarde. El sospechoso ha sido identificado como Robert Hill, de 31 años de edad y vecino de la cuadra 7700 de Willow Hill Drive en Landover. A este se le imputa haber matado a tiros a Clifford Ellis, de 63 años de edad y vecino de Landover.

El 18 de diciembre, a eso de las 5:40 de la tarde, nuestros oficiales acudieron a la cuadra 500 de Pacer Drive tras recibir información sobre un tiroteo. Los oficiales hallaron a la víctima con una herida de bala en su marquesina. A este le declararon muerto en la escena.

La investigación preliminar reveló que Hill le disparó a la víctima y luego le robó la camioneta. Minutos después del asesinato, el sospechoso intentó robarse varios otros vehículos, escaló una residencia e intentó invadir una segunda casa. Nadie más resultó herido en los anteriores incidentes. Los oficiales de patrulla localizaron y arrestaron a Hill el viernes a eso de las 6:30 pm en la cuadra 1000 de Glacier Avenue, en el área de Capital Heights.

George Miller

The Prince George’s County Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in finding a missing man. He is identified as 61-year-old George Miller. He was last seen in the 5800 block of Sachem Drive in Forest Heights at approximately 2:40 pm on December 20, 2020.

Mr. Miller is a black male, 6’5” tall and 195 pounds. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, blue jeans with a red back pocket and black rain boots.

Annual Toys for Tots Distribution Set for This Saturday

 






We are back at it again with one of our favorite events of the year - Toys for Tots! Our PGPD elves assigned to the Community Services Division are working overtime to make sure every boy and girl in Prince George’s County has a wonderful holiday. 


This year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we received a larger number of toy requests than usual from county residents. We are so excited to once again partner with the Prince George’s County Public Safety agencies and the United States Marine Corps on this tremendous effort.

 

Due to the global pandemic, we are executing operations a little differently this year with a new location. This coming Saturday, the toys will be distributed to families that have already registered at a drive thru event at Six Flags America. We are also partnering with the County Executive Office’s “Stand Up and Deliver” program to provide food vouchers to county residents attending the event.

One business is located in the 6500 block of Coventry Way in Clinton and the other in the 3300 block of Branch Avenue in Marlowe Heights. Shooting Suspect



We are looking to identify and arrest this suspect wanted for a shooting at a gas station in Oxon Hill. The preliminary investigation revealed that on December 13, 2020, at approximately 1:00 am, the suspect confronted the victim at a gas station in the 4400 block of Wheeler Road. That confrontation led to a shooting. The victim survived his injuries. Theft Investigation



Do you recognize these package thieves? They are pictured stealing packages from multiple homes in the afternoon hours of December 3, 2020. These thefts occurred on Westlake Drive in Mitchellville and on Whistling Duck Drive in Upper Marlboro. After stealing the packages, the suspects fled the area in the pictured silver sedan. Detectives are actively working to locate and arrest the pictured individuals. They are wanted for an attempted carjacking and shooting in the 6200 block of Livingston Road in Oxon Hill on December 2, 2020. The preliminary investigation revealed the suspects held the victim at gunpoint and attempted to steal his vehicle. The suspects then shot at the victim before fleeing the area. The preliminary investigation revealed the two suspects held an employee at gunpoint and demanded money. This occurred at approximately 2:30 pm at a business on Kettering Drive.
