Prince George’s County, Maryland… The Prince George’s County Police Department, in partnership with the Prince George’s County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and the Bowie/Mitchellville Alumni (BMAC) Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, will host its first annual EMBODI (Empowering Males to Build Opportunities to Develop Independence) summit for its high school members on Saturday, January 28, 2012.
The summit will provide 32 teenaged EMBODI members with opportunities to receive information on academic success, college preparation and money management among other topics. Guest speakers will include the Honorable Glenn Ivey, retired Prince George’s County State’s Attorney, and Dr. Donald Shell, Maryland Interim Director of the State’s Center for Health Promotion. Members of the media are encouraged to attend this summit.
