Police Investigate Domestic Homicide/Suicide on Bramble Court

Prince George’s County, Maryland… The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a Murder/Suicide that occurred yesterday evening in Laurel, Maryland.  

On January 22, 2012, at approximately 7:00 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 14100 block of Bramble Court for report of a shooting.  Upon arrival, officers entered the apartment and found 19 year-old Aeris Lashay Beard, of the 11200 block of Basswood Terrace in Laurel, and 21 year-old Adam Clayton Owsley II, of the 14100 block of Bramble Court in Laurel, suffering from gunshot wounds.  Both persons were pronounced dead on the scene.

            The investigation revealed that Beard and Owsley had been involved in a relationship for approximately three years.  Additionally it was determined that Owsley shot Beard before taking his own life.
