Prince George’s
County, Maryland…The Prince George’s County Police Department’s District VI
Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) unit, along with a group of
concerned citizens, identified a need to establish and implement an Adult
Identification Program. This program,
similar to the Child Identification Program, provides caregivers with an
organized folder that can be used to collect pertinent information about
at-risk or vulnerable adults. This
information can then be used by law enforcement in the event that the adult is
reported missing. A seminar,
highlighting the program, is scheduled for Friday, March 2, 2012.
