Prince George’s County, Maryland… The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a murder that occurred this morning in Fort Washington, Maryland.
On March 21, 2012, at approximately 12:50 a.m., patrol officers responded to the 1100 block of Palmer Road in Fort Washington for the report of the sound of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers found 33 year-old Marcellus Jermaine Jackson, of the 600 block of Mandan Road in Greenbelt, Maryland, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds inside of a vehicle which was on fire. An officer then pulled Jackson from the vehicle and attempted to extinguish the fire. Jackson was pronounced dead on scene. Detectives are currently working to identify a suspect(s) and motive in this case.
