PGPD to Participate in the Street Smart Pedestrian Safety Program


Prince George's County, Maryland … The Prince George’s County Police Department will be enforcing pedestrian safety laws in support of the Street Smart Pedestrian Program.  

 "The Prince George’s County Police Department is working to reduce the number of accidents. We're ramping up our presence on our streets and highways - to not only inform residents of the pedestrian rules of the roads, but to also enforce those rules,” said Chief of Police Mark Magaw.

There will be enforcement efforts on April 9, 2012 and April 11, 2012.  Officers will be at this location issuing citations to violators with emphasis on pedestrian traffic laws.
