Police Investigate Sexual Assault in Temple Hills

Composite Sketch of Suspect

The Prince George’s County Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who sexually assaulted a teenager in Temple Hills, Maryland.

On June 12, 2012, at approximately 11:10 p.m., two sisters, ages 15 and 26, were walking near Easy Street and Kingston Drive when they were approached by an unknown suspect from behind. The suspect pointed a handgun at both sisters and demanded that they walk into a wooded area. While the suspect was sexually assaulting the younger sister, the older sister came to the teen’s defense by knocking the suspect to the ground allowing her sister to escape. During the altercation, the suspect struck the 26-year old several times before he fled on foot. She was treated and released from a local hospital.

The suspect is described as a black male, between 6’- 6’3”, thin build, with a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a black cloth covering his face, black T-shirt, and was armed with a handgun.

Police are reminding citizens to be mindful of their surroundings, walk in well-lit areas and walk in groups whenever possible.
