(UPDATE) Police Investigate Murder in Upper Marlboro

     The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a murder of 27-year-old Ishmael Boakye that occurred in Upper Marlboro.

     On August 7th, at approximately 12:07 a.m., patrol officers responded to the 10900 block of Woodlawn Boulevard for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Boakye, of the 6800 block of Riverdale Road in Riverdale, lying on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

     There is no suspect description or motive at this time, as detectives continue their investigation.
