Police Investigate String of Bank Robberies

     The Prince George's County Police Department's Robbery Unit is investigating a string of bank robberies.  The latest incident occurred on August 7th, at approximately 1:22 p.m., at the Wells Fargo Bank in the 5800 block of Silver Hill Road, District Heights. The suspect has also been linked to the bank robberies listed below.
  • March 21, 2012, Capital One Bank, 6300 block Marlboro Pike, District Heights
  • April 25, 2012, Wells Fargo Bank, 5800 block Silver Hill Rd, District Heights
  • June 28, 2012, BB&T Bank, 6400 block Allentown Rd, Camp Springs  
  • August 6, 2012, Capitol One Bank, 6300 block Marlboro Pike, District Heights  
     Anyone with information about this investigation is asked to call CRIMESOLVERS at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477) or the CID-Robbery Unit at 301-772-4905 as soon as possible. Please refer to case number 12-187-3107. Whenever information is given to the Prince George’s County Crime Solvers Line, you do not have to leave your name. A CASH REWARD OF UP TO $1000.00 is being offered for the tip that leads to the arrest and indictment of the suspects responsible for these robberies.
