Domestic Incident Leads to Arrest
The Prince George’s County Police Department arrested a man following a search for his son.
On October 10th, at approximately 8:00 a.m., officers responded to the 7500 block of Landover Road for an alleged abduction. The mother of a four year-old boy called 911 after the father of the child allegedly produced a handgun and drove away with the mother’s vehicle. The child in question was in the vehicle at the time. The mother and father share custody of the child.
The child was found unharmed a short time later at a school in Washington, DC. The mother and son have since been reunited. Investigators from District III obtained a warrant for the suspect, Kyle Britton, of the 4300 block of Sangamore Road in Bethesda. Several hours later, police officers arrested Britton without incident near the 8000 block of Landover Road. Britton is charged with first and second degree assault and other charges. He is not charged with kidnapping.
