PGPD Provides Update on Critical Missing Man

On December 28, 2012 at 10:00 pm, police officers found the 2013 black Ford Escape in a parking lot near Route 197 and Route 450.  Scherr was unresponsive inside the vehicle, and pronounced dead on scene.  Detectives are investigating the death as a suicide.

The Prince George’s County Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a critical missing person identified as 20 year-old David Johnathan Scherr.  He was last seen at 2:00 pm on December 19, 2012, near the University of Maryland campus in College Park.  Scherr may be driving a black 2013 Ford Escape with Maryland tags 3AX4875.  

Scherr was last seen wearing a purple Ravens shirt and white plaid shorts.
