PGPD Partners with University of Maryland Men’s Basketball Team to Help Kids Get Fit


The Prince George’s County Police Department’s District I COPS unit is partnering with the University of Maryland and United Healthcare for a Kids Fit Camp. The activities will take place at the University of Maryland’s Comcast Center in College Park.  Members of the Police Athletic League (P.A.L) and students from Langley Park-McCormick Elementary School in Hyattsville will join the University of Maryland’s Men’s basketball team for a day of fitness training. The students will also learn about maintaining active lifestyles and healthy eating habits. The participants will then watch the Terrapins take on the Virginia Tech Hokies.
