PGPD Arrests Suspects for 80+ Copper Thefts; Caused $700,000 in Damages


The Prince George’s County Police Department arrested three suspects wanted for a string of 82 copper thefts.  They are identified as 24-year-old Marlon Glenn of the 800 block of Nalley Road in Landover, 21-year-old Sean Wesley Sibley of the 800 block of Nalley Road in Landover and 25-year-old Marco Samuel Howard of the 1100 block of Ivy Club Lane in Landover.

On June 12, 2013 at approximately 4:30 pm, patrol officers responded to an apartment complex in the 800 block of Warley Drive in Landover for a report that 25 units had been broken in to earlier in the day.  The suspects stole copper tubing from each of the units.  The stolen copper was then scrapped at an area business.


The three suspects are also linked to 56 other burglaries at an apartment complex in the 900 block of Attlee Way in Landover.  The suspects stole copper tubing and PVC fittings from the sprinkler systems in the utility closets of the units.  The removal of the pipes caused more than $700,000 in water damage to the units. 


Detectives arrested Sibley on June 16, 2013 at a family member’s home in Bowie.  Howard turned himself in to the PGPD on June 19, 2013.  Glenn was arrested on June 19, 2013 at his home.   Sibley is charged with first degree burglary and other related charges.  Howard and Glenn are charged with third and fourth degree burglary and theft.
