PGPD Investigates Non-Fatal Shooting in Brandywine

The Prince George's County Police Department is investigating a double non-fatal shooting in Brandywine.

On August 23, 2013, at about 11:20 pm, patrol officers were called to the 14000 block of Brandywine Road for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, patrol officers found two female victims, ages 14 and 15, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The preliminary investigation suggests the victims were attending a party at a volunteer firehouse in Brandywine. For reasons which remain unclear, several juveniles began fighting inside the party.  The fight spilled outside, where someone began firing a handgun. Both victims, who detectives believe were not involved in the fight, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Anyone with information on this case or the suspect is urged to call the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Regional Investigation Division – Southern Region at 301-749-5064.  Callers wishing to remain anonymous may call CRIME SOLVERS at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477), text “PGPD plus your message” to CRIMES (274637) on your cell phone or go to www.pgcrimesolvers.com and submit a tip online.

  1. First of all why is a 14 and 15 Yr old out at a party that late at night where are the parents. Once again violence kicks off at an event in the county and of all places a firehouse. It is due time that the politicians if this county and the officials who run the law enforcement in this county stop worrying about how they can prosecute an officer for doing his job and allow law enforcement to do exactly as it says enforce the law. If some heavy handed tactics need to be used then so be it. If the people of this county want the senseless violence like this shooting where two Innocent children were shot then its high time to start taking back this county to make it a safer better place to live. WAKE UP PG COUNTY

  2. Where were the parents and why were there weapons at a teenager's party? Tons of cars parked all over road for blocks surrounding fire station impeding traffic and residents in area. It was bound to happen.
