On August
22, 2013, at about 9:30 pm, patrol officers were called to Landover Road and
John Hanson Highway for the report of a pedestrian struck. Upon their
arrival, patrol officers found a woman lying in the road. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
The
preliminary investigation suggests the woman was attempting to cross Landover
Road when she was struck. She was not in a crosswalk. The striking
vehicle did not stop, and is described as a gold SUV, possibly a Ford.
