PGPD Investigates Homicide in Suitland

Updated December 9, 2013: The victim is identified as 17-year-old Brandon Ramone Johnson, of the 3200 block of Prince Ranier Place in District Heights. Detectives were not able to identify him until Sunday as he had no identification on him at the time of his death. Johnson was a freshman at Crossland High School. Detectives are following up on several leads as they continue to work to identify the suspect(s) and motive in this case.

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a homicide in Suitland.

On December 7, 2013, at about 3:15 am, patrol officers were called to the 4900 block of Suitland Road for a welfare check.  When patrol officers arrived, they found a man lying in a parking lot suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are working to identify a suspect(s) and motive in the case.
