PGPD Investigates Fatal Pedestrian Collision in Forestville

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision in Forestville.  The victim is identified as 31-year-old Ahmaad Sarod Henderson of the 3500 block of 56th Street in Cheverly.

On January 27, 2014, at about 9:45 pm, patrol officers were called to Pennsylvania Avenue near Parkland Drive for the report of a collision involving a pedestrian.  When they arrived, patrol officers found Henderson suffering from critical injuries.  He later died at a hospital.
  
The preliminary investigation reveals a car heading westbound on Pennsylvania Avenue struck Henderson, who was in the the roadway.  Henderson was not in a crosswalk.  The driver stayed on the scene.  He was treated for minor injuries.
