PGPD Arrests Mother for Abusing Infant Son

The Prince George’s County Police Department arrested a woman for abusing her infant son.  She is identified as 20-year-old Jacqueline Vanessa Diaz-Pineda of the 9300 block of Lynmont Drive in Adelphi.

On June 2, 2014, at about 6:55 pm, patrol officers were called to the 9300 block of Lynmont Drive for the report of an infant suffering a medical emergency. The 10 month old was rushed to a hospital where he is in critical condition.

While speaking with detectives, Diaz-Pineda admitted to assaulting the baby. Diaz-Pineda is charged with first and second degree child abuse. She is being held at the Department of Corrections on a $500,000 bond.
