PGPD Investigates Attempted Child Abduction

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating the attempted abduction of an 8-year-old child in Temple Hills.

On October 30, 2014, at about 7:00 am, patrol officers were called to the 2900 block of Brinkley Road for an attempted abduction.  The victim told officers that a man driving a car stopped ahead of him as he was walking towards his bus stop.  The man allegedly got out of the car and pointed a gun at the child.  A woman got out of the passenger side of the car, and reportedly told the child to get into the car.  The victim began running, at which time the suspects drove away.  The victim reported the incident after arriving at school.

Detectives are working to identify the two suspects.  They are described as a black male and black female, both between the ages of 20-30.  Both suspects were wearing dark clothing.  They left the area in a light colored, possibly gray, passenger car.

Anyone with information on the identity of these suspects is urged to call the Regional Investigation Division - Southern at 301-749-5064. Callers wishing to remain anonymous may call CRIME SOLVERS at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477), text “PGPD plus your message” to CRIMES (274637) on your cell phone or go to www.pgcrimesolvers.com and submit a tip online.
