PGPD Investigates Fatal Crash in Clinton

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash in Clinton. The victim is 84-year-old Frank Joseph Vaughn of Arbutus Lane in Clinton.

On November 4, 2014, at about 1:40 pm, patrol officers were called to the intersection of Piscataway Road and Pine View Lane for a crash involving two vehicles. When they arrived, they found Vaughn suffering critical injuries. He was taken to a hospital where he died on November 19, 2014. A passenger in Vaughn’s car and the second driver were not seriously hurt.

The preliminary investigation reveals Vaughn was heading southbound on Piscataway Road when he tried to make a left turn onto Pine View Lane. While making that turn, his car was struck by an SUV heading northbound on Piscataway Road.
