PGPD Investigates Homicide in Bowie

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a homicide in Bowie. The victim is 18-year-old Devante Marcus King of 8^th Street in Bowie. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in this case.

On June 4, 2015, at about 1:15 am, patrol officers with the City of Bowie Police Department were called to the 13000 block of 6^th Street for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found King suffering from gunshot wounds. He died of his injuries several hours later.

Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random act. Investigators are working to identify the suspect(s) and motive in this case.
