PGPD to Participate in School Bus Safety Enforcement

 

Next week, our Traffic Enforcement Unit will conduct school bus stop sign enforcement throughout the county. The enforcement comes during  National School Bus Safety Week. Last school year, there were 40 bus stop camera violations mailed out to offenders. This school year, 15 bus stop camera violations have been issued so far.

Officers will work to ensure drivers are obeying traffic laws, especially while in school zones. This initiative is part of our department’s ongoing effort to keep our students safe.
