This afternoon, Interim Chief of Police Hank Stawinski will appear before the Prince George’s County Council for the final hearing in his confirmation process.
Interim Chief Stawinski joined the Prince George’s County Police Department in 1992. Prior to being named Interim Chief of Police, he led the Bureau of Patrol, which includes the seven district stations and the Special Operations Division. Interim Chief Stawinski has also served as the Deputy Chief for the Bureau of Forensic Science & Intelligence, Chief of Staff to the Chief of Police and the Deputy Inspector General.
If confirmed, he’ll become the department’s 17th Chief of Police.
