Detectives Investigate Homicide at Camp Springs Restaurant

Our Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal shooting in Camp Springs. The victim is 20-year-old Darryl Hairston of Pendall Drive in Fort Washington. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

On May 4, 2016, at about 9:45 pm, patrol officers were called to the 7100 block of Temple Hills Road for a shooting. When they arrived, they learned the victim had been shot inside of America’s Best Wings. He died several hours later at a hospital. The victim and suspect were both customers. No employees inside of the restaurant were hurt.

Detectives are working to identify the motive and suspect(s).
