ATV Driver Recorded on Camera Driving Recklessly Charged With Multiple Offenses

The Prince George’s County Police Department has identified and charged an ATV driver who was recorded driving dangerously on county roads. The video was recorded on May 23rd on Pennsylvania Avenue near Silver Hill Road in Forestville and then posted online. Through various investigative techniques, the driver was identified as 26-year-old Piera Sterling Barbour of Corning Avenue in Fort Washington. The person who recorded the video is identified as 25-year-old Michael Wayne Roane of East Capitol Street in the District. Both men are facing multiple charges, including reckless driving, negligent driving, and other traffic violations.

“This type of dangerous driving is not welcome on our roadways. Our community is understandly frustrated with the brazen behavior as are we. Investigators are constantly working to identify those who engage in this behavior and charge them accordingly," said Chief Hank Stawinski.
