The Homicide Unit is investigating the death of a woman in her
Landover Hills home. The victim is 62-year-old Lenise Fredericks of 71st
Avenue. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to
an arrest and indictment in this case.
At about 6:00 pm on July 8th, patrol officers and officers from
the Landover Hills Police Department were called to the 4000 block of 71st
Avenue to check on the welfare of a woman inside of her home. Officers found
the victim suffering from trauma to her body. She was pronounced dead at the
scene.
Detectives are working to identify a motive and the suspect(s).
