PGPD Investigating Fatal Pedestrian Collision in Capitol Heights

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision in Capitol Heights. The victim is 17-year-old Daiq’uan Fox of Sisalbed Court in Capitol Heights. 

On July 20th, at about 4:20 pm, patrol officers were called to the 6400 block of Central Avenue for a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.

The preliminary investigation reveals the car was traveling eastbound on Central Avenue when for reasons which remain under investigation, the car jumped the curb median and struck Fox. Fox was standing on the raised median. He was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the car remained on the scene.
