PGPD Investigating Fatal Pedestrian Collision in Capitol Heights

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision in Capitol Heights. The victim is 25-year-old Jadene Brooking of Lee Jay Court in Capitol Heights. 

On September 21st at about 2:30 pm, patrol officers were called to the 6400 block of Central Avenue for a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.

The preliminary investigation reveals the car was traveling eastbound on Central Avenue when it struck Brooking as she was crossing Central Avenue in a crosswalk. Brooking was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car remained on the scene and was not injured.
