The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction
Unit is investigating a fatal collision in Springdale. The victim is
58-year-old Caroline Ayorinde of Heidi Lane in Springdale.
On January 11th, around 8:00 am,
patrol officers were called to the intersection of Ardwick Ardmore Road and
Heidi Lane for a crash involving two cars. Ayorinde, who was driving one of the
vehicles, was found suffering from critical injuries. She was taken to the
hospital where she died of her injuries on February 5th. The driver
of the second car was also injured with what preliminarily appear to be
non-life-threatening injuries.
The preliminary investigation reveals
Ayorinde was traveling eastbound on Ardwick Ardmore Road, making a left hand
turn onto Heidi Lane. The second car was traveling westbound on Ardwick
Ardmore, at which point the driver maneuvered around a car stopped in the
roadway, striking Ayorinde’s car as it was turning onto Heidi Lane.
