Detectives to Canvass Oxon Hill Neighborhood in Homicide Investigation


This evening, detectives with our Homicide Unit will canvass an Oxon Hill neighborhood to gather additional information in a fatal shooting Thursday evening. The victim is 17-year-old Jayquan Holloway of Southview Drive in Oxon Hill. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

On March 2nd, at about 2:50 pm, officers responded to the 1400 block of Iverson Street for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found the victim outside of an apartment building suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.                          

Detectives are working to identify a suspect(s) and motive in this case. The canvass will begin at 6:00 pm in the 1400 block of Iverson Street.
