PGPD Investigating Fatal Collision in Capitol Heights

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash in Capitol Heights. The victim is 44-year-old Marcus Moore of Lake Grove Court in Crofton.

On November 3, 2017, at approximately 8:10 pm, patrol officers were called to the 400 block of Ritchie Road for the report of a collision involving a car and a bus.

The preliminary investigation reveals Moore was heading northbound on Ritchie Road when reasons that remain unclear, his car crossed the center line and struck a bus that was traveling southbound. Moore was pronounced dead on the scene. A passenger in his car suffered what appear to be non-life threatening injuries. The bus driver was also taken to the hospital with what appear to be non-life threatening injuries. There were no passengers on the bus.
