PGPD Investigates Fatal Collision in Seat Pleasant

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash in Seat Pleasant. The victim is 30-year-old Mario Baccous of Darkwood Court in Forestville.

On May 24^th, at approximately 11:30 pm, patrol officers responded to the intersection of Central Avenue and Addison Road for a collision involving two cars and a truck.

The preliminary investigation reveals Baccous was driving westbound on Central Avenue when for reasons which remain under investigation, collided with a truck traveling northbound on Addison Road. The impact of the collision caused the truck to strike a second car sitting at the light. The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition. As a result of his injuries, Baccous was pronounced dead on Friday, May 25^th. The driver of the truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The third driver was not hurt.
