Homicide
Unit detectives are actively working to arrest the suspect(s) who fatally
shot a teen in Bladensburg. The victim is 17-year-old Bryan Alvarado-Esquivel
of Georgia Avenue in Northwest Washington. A reward of up to $25,000 is being
offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On
June 18th, at approximately 1:55 pm, Maryland-National
Capital Park Police as well as PGPD officers responded to a park in the 5300
block of Varnum Street for the report of a shooting. The victim was discovered
outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he
was pronounced dead.
Detectives
are working to identify a suspect(s) and motive in this case.
