Wanted Wednesday



Bank Robbery Suspect

We are starting Wanted Wednesday this week with our active search for this pictured bank robbery suspect. On Tuesday, June 10th, at approximately 1:35 pm, he walked into a bank in the 6200 block of Annapolis Road in Landover Hills. He approached a teller and made a demand for money. Once he had cash, he ran from the bank. Anyone with information on his identity is urged to call us. We are offering a cash reward. Please call either 301-772-4905 or 1-866-411-TIPS.


Robbery Suspects




Detectives are also working to identify and arrest these five suspects in connection with a robbery earlier this month. The investigation reveals the five men approached a victim at a gas station and demanded money. This happened on July 2nd on North Cove Terrace in Oxon Hill. One of the suspects struck the victim in the face causing minor injuries. The victim’s cell phone was ultimately stolen. Carjacking Suspect




This suspect is wanted for a carjacking in Temple Hills on Tuesday. It took place at approximately 12:30 pm in the 4000 block of Branch Avenue. The investigation reveals the suspect approached the victim who was in his car, struck him in the face and demanded his vehicle. The suspect fled in the victim’s car toward Southern Avenue. Homicide Investigation


It was one year ago this week that someone shot and killed a man in Chillum. The victim is 37-year-old Anthony Russell of Alice Avenue in Oxon Hill. Detectives continue to search for those responsible and are asking for the community’s assistance.  On July 8th, 2017, at about 5:15 am, patrol officers responded to the 5700 block of Cypress Creek Drive for a shooting. The officers discovered the victim outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene. Anyone who has any information – no detail is too small – is urged to contact detectives at 301-772-4925. You can remain anonymous by calling 1-866-411-TIPS. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
