Detectives
are actively investigating a fatal shooting Tuesday night in
Springdale. The decedent is 21-year-old Dabeyon Byrd of Alconbury Drive in Bowie.
On
October 23rd, at approximately 8:55 pm, officers were called to the
9000 block of Quiet Glen Court for a shooting. They discovered Byrd outside suffering
from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Detectives are working to
identify the person who shot and killed Byrd. Preliminarily,
investigators do not believe this was a random shooting.
