PGPD Investigating Fatal Shooting

 Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early this morning. The decedent is 30-year-old Eric Weaver Jr., of Rhode Island Avenue in Northeast, Washington DC.

At approximately 12:40 am, Weaver was dropped off at Prince George’s Hospital Center suffering from a gunshot wound. He died a short time later. The person(s) who drove him to the hospital fled the area.

Detectives are working to identify who dropped off Weaver at the hospital and determine a motive for the shooting. They are also working to confirm the location of the shooting.
