The Homicide Unit has
assumed the investigation into a shooting earlier this week in Landover. A man
who was shot during that incident died of his injuries early this morning. The
decedent is 23-year-old Tauron Williamson of Livingston Road in Oxon Hill.
On April 22nd, at
approximately 9:00 pm, patrol officers responded to the 3200 block of 75th
Avenue for the report of a shooting. Williamson and a second man were located
outside of an apartment building suffering from gunshot wounds. They were both
taken to a hospital for treatment of critical injuries.
Detectives are
working to arrest and charge the suspect(s) in this case.
