Homicide Unit detectives are
investigating a fatal shooting in District Heights late Monday night. The victim
is 30-year-old Ernest Bowman II of Northwest
Washington. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random
crime.
On July 15th, at approximately 10:30 pm, patrol officers were called to the 8000 block of Ritchboro Road for the report of a shooting.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found Bowman outside suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Detectives are
working to identify the suspect(s) and motive for this shooting.
