Detectives Seeking Community Assistance in Shooting Investigation

Prince George’s County Police detectives continue to actively investigate a shooting on Saturday night that left seven adults injured. Five of those who were shot remain hospitalized. At this time, none of the injuries is considered life-threatening. Detectives would like to speak to anyone who has information that could help with this investigation.

On August 24^th, at approximately 9:00 pm, patrol officers responded to the 6200 block of Maxwell Drive for a reported shooting. The officers located seven people suffering from gunshot wounds. They were taken to various hospitals throughout the region. Two have since been released.

The preliminarily investigation reveals the shooting occurred at a gathering to celebrate a toddler’s birthday. Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify the suspect(s).

Detectives Piden Asistencia de la Comunidad en Investigación sobre Balacera

Detectives de la Policía del Condado de Prince George continúan investigando activamente una balacera ocurrida el sábado en la noche la cual dejó a 7 adultos heridos. Cinco de los afectados por heridas de bala permanecen hospitalizados. Al momento, ninguna de las heridas se considera mortal. A los detectives les gustaría hablar con cualquiera que tuviese información que pudiese asistir con la investigación.

El 24 de agosto, a eso de las 9:00 pm, oficiales de patrulla acudieron a la cuadra 6200 de Maxwell Drive ante un reporte de balacera. Los oficiales se encontraron con siete personas sufriendo heridas de bala. Todos fueron trasladados a hospitales a lo largo de la región. Desde entonces, dos de los heridos han sido dados de alta.

La investigación preliminar demuestra que la balacera ocurrió durante un encuentro para celebrar el cumpleaños de un menor. Los detectives buscan determinar un motivo e identificar al posible sospechoso(s).
