Due to multiple media inquiries, we are providing information on a theft and arrest that occurred at the National Harbor on Monday evening.
On September 16th, at approximately
7:15 pm, members of our Special Operations Division responded to a call for a
stolen paddle boat. Preliminarily, a man, later identified as 32-year-old Kevin Quijano-QuiJada of the 200 block of Seneca Drive in Forest Heights, swam to a docked paddle boat and removed it from the dock without payment. He
then proceeded to paddle the boat further into the
Potomac River where he was apprehended by our
Harbor Unit officers.
Quijano-Quijada was taken to the Prince George’s County Department
of Corrections and is charged with theft under $25,000.

Arrestan a Individuo por Robarse Bote de Remos
Debido a múltiples interrogantes de
los medios, proveemos la siguiente información sobre un robo y subsiguiente
arresto que ocurrió en National Harbor el lunes en la tarde.
El 16 de septiembre, a eso de las
7:15 pm, miembros de nuestra División de Operaciones Especiales respondieron a
un reporte de un bote de remos robado. De manera preliminar, un hombre quien
luego fue identificado como Kevin Quijano-Quijada, de 32 años de edad y vecino
de la cuadra 200 de Seneca Drive en Forest Heights, nadó hasta el bote de remos
amarrado del muelle y lo removió de allí sin pagar. Éste procedió a pedalearlo
más lejos dentro del Río Potomac en donde fue arrestado por oficiales de
nuestra Unidad de Muelles.
Quijano-Quijada fue escoltado al
Departamento de Correcciones del Condado de Prince George y le sometieron
cargos por hurto en cantidades menores de $25,000.
