Homicide Unit detectives are actively working to identify
and arrest the suspect(s) who shot and killed a man in Oxon Hill. The victim is 25-year-old Marcus
Shabazz of Washington DC. He had been
reported missing in the District on January 12, 2020.
On January 14th, at approximately 7:30 pm, PGPD was requested to assist an MPDC detective investigating the victim’s
disappearance. That investigation resulted in the victim’s body being
discovered in a wooded area in the 1500 block of
Iverson Street. He was located with
multiple gunshot wounds and pronounced dead on the scene.
Detectives are working to establish a motive and identify
suspect(s).

PGPD Investiga Homicidio en Oxon Hill
Detectives de la Unidad de Homicidios
buscan identificar y arrestar al sospechoso(s) que mató a tiros a un individuo
en Oxon Hill. La víctima fue identificada como Marcus Shabazz, de 25 años de
edad y vecino de Washington DC. A éste le habían reportado como desaparecido en
el Distrito de Columbia el 12 de enero de 2020.
El 14 de enero, a eso de las 7:30 pm,
a PGPD se le solicitó que asistiera a un detective de la Policía Metropolitana
de DC que investigaba la desaparición de la víctima. Esa investigación fue lo
que llevó a que hallaran el cadáver de la víctima en un área boscosa cerca de
la cuadra 1500 de Iverson Street. A éste le encontraron con múltiples heridas
de bala y le declararon muerto en la escena.
Nuestros detectives continúan investigando
para establecer un motivo e identificar posibles sospechosos.
