Victim in Saturday’s Fatal Shooting in Upper Marlboro Identified

Homicide Unit detectives working to identify and arrest the suspect(s) who fatally shot 48-year-old Sharone Redding of Upper Marlboro. She was shot and killed inside of her home on Saturday night. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random crime.

On January 30, 2021, at approximately 9:25 pm, officers responded to a home in the 12800 block of Dunkirk Drive for a shooting.

 

The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect(s) shot into the home from outside, striking the victim. Investigators are working to determine a motive for this shooting. As with all homicides, a reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

Identifican Víctima de Mortal Tiroteo Ocurrido el Sábado en Upper Marlboro

Detectives de nuestra Unidad de Homicidios buscan identificar y arrestar al sospechoso quien mató a tiros a Sharone Redding, de 48 años de edad y vecina de Upper Marlboro. A esta le dispararon dentro de su hogar el sábado en la noche. De manera preliminar, los detectives del caso entienden que no fue un crimen al azar.

El 30 de enero de 2021, a eso de las 9:25 pm, nuestros oficiales acudieron a una residencia en la cuadra 12800 de Dunkirk Drive tras recibir información sobre un tiroteo.

La investigación preliminar reveló que el sospechoso disparó de afuera hacia adentro de la residencia, impactando así a la víctima. Los detectives buscan identificar cuál fue el motivo en este tiroteo. Al igual que con todo caso de homicidio, se ofrece una recompensa de hasta $25,000 por cualquier información conducente a un arresto y acusación en este caso.
