The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision in Lanham that occurred early Sunday morning. Investigators are working to identify the victim.
On April 4,
2021, at approximately 2:30 am, patrol officers were called to the 9000 block
of Annapolis Road for a collision involving a pedestrian. The pedestrian, an
adult female, was pronounced dead on the scene. The involved driver was not
hurt.
The
preliminary investigation revealed the involved car was traveling eastbound on
Annapolis Road. The driver struck the pedestrian, who, for reasons that remain
under investigation, was in the roadway at the time. The involved driver
remained on the scene.
