The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is working to determine the cause of a fatal collision on Saturday in Camp Springs. The deceased driver is 37-year-old Dexter Harris of Washington, DC.
On May 29, 2021, at
approximately 9:30 pm, officers responded to the 5900 block of Auth Road for a
single-vehicle crash. The preliminary investigation
revealed the victim was traveling northbound
on Auth Road when for reasons which remain under investigation, the driver lost
control, left the roadway and struck a light pole. Harris was pronounced dead
on the scene.
