PGPD Investigating Fatal Hit-and-Run Involving Pedestrian

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal hit-and-run collision involving a pedestrian in Camp Springs. The deceased pedestrian is 43-year-old Rachelle Tucker of Washington, DC. 

 

On July 16, 2021, at approximately 2:35 pm, officers responded to the 5700 block of Allentown Road. 

 

The preliminary investigation revealed the striking car was traveling eastbound on Allentown Road. The driver struck the pedestrian, who, for reasons that remain under investigation, was in the roadway at the time. Tucker was pronounced dead on the scene. The involved driver did not remain on the scene. The driver has since been identified and the striking vehicle has been located.

PGPD Investiga Mortal Choque-y-Fuga Peatonal

La Unidad de Análisis y Reconstrucción de Choques investiga un mortal choque-y-fuga peatonal que ocurrió en Camp Springs. La fenecida peatona fue identificada como Rachelle Tucker, de 43 años de edad y vecina del área de Washington, DC.

El 16 de julio de 2021, a eso de las 2:35 pm, un grupo oficiales acudió a la cuadra 5700 de Allentown Road para atender un choque peatonal.

La investigación preliminar reveló que el vehículo involucrado viajaba en dirección este sobre Allentown Road. El conductor impactó a la peatona, quien, por razones que permanecen bajo investigación, se encontraba en la carretera en ese momento. A Tucker le declararon muerta en la escena, mientras que el conductor involucrado no permaneció en la misma. El conductor ya fue identificado y su vehículo fue localizado e incautado.
