The Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday evening in Lewisdale. The victim is 30-year-old Irvin Paredes of the Langley Park area. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On August 24, 2022, at
approximately 9:15 pm, patrol officers were called to the 2300 block of
University Boulevard for a shooting. The officers discovered
Paredes in a parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds. He was
pronounced dead on the scene.
Detectives are working to
identify a suspect(s) and a motive.
