Detectives with our Homicide Unit are investigating a fatal shooting in District Heights Wednesday evening. The victim is 28-year-old Stanley Ramey of District Heights. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On August 17, 2022, at approximately 10:30 pm, patrol officers were called to the 2100 block of Rochelle Avenue for a report of a shooting. They discovered Ramey unresponsive in the parking lot of an apartment complex suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on scene.
Detectives are working to identify a suspect(s) and a motive.
