The Homicide Unit is actively working to identify and arrest the suspect(s) who fatally shot a man in Lanham. The victim is 30-year-old Steven Prescott Sollers of no fixed address. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On January 24, 2023, at approximately 8:45 am, officers responded to the 7700 block of Finns Lane for a welfare check. The victim was located outside in a wooded area suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Detectives are working to determine a motive in this case.
