The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Thursday evening in District Heights. The victim is 17-year-old Lorenzo Marquette Freeman of Suitland. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On February 23, 2023, at approximately
6:55 pm, officers responded to the 6700 block of Alpine Street for a shooting.
Officers located the victim inside an apartment building suffering from a
gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead a few
hours later.
Investigators are working to identify
the suspect(s) and determine a motive.
The
Prince George’s County Police Department investigates all homicides that occur
in the city of District Heights.
